👯‍♀️ Coco whipped around to me while she was coloring (I was behind her off to the left) and says “Mom, when you were married to my dad, did you want to have a kid?“ I froze and said “I’m sorry honey, what?” And she goes “Like, did you and my dad WANT to have a baby?” And I about fell off the couch. She’s 6.

I’ll never forget that evening. I told her ABSOLUTELY!! I wanted her. I wanted any baby. I was ready. She was planned. I had been with her father for 6 years when we got pregnant with her. I had suffered a miscarriage throughout our relationship, so Coco is my rainbow baby. I prayed for her. I remember finding out she was a girl. I remember naming her. I remember every single one of her firsts. I was elated to tell her that evening how much I wanted her and how thankful I am to have her. I remind her every single day every single moment of the day how much I love her and how proud I am of her. I joke that we throw around “I love you’ like confetti, because we will call each others name from anywhere in the house and scream “I LOVE YOU!” I tell her how funny she is like 10x a day. I’m not even kidding 🥴😂 she’s hysterical. I laugh so hard at the things she says sometimes I cry from laughing so hard LMAO I even get so sad when she goes to sleep + can’t wait to see her in the morning so I can drive her to school + pick her up. She answered a question from her homework the other day that asked what is her favorite part of the day, and she said “when my mom picks me up from school.”

I got lucky with this one. She’s the bestest friend I’ll ever have.

🍂🍁 Anyone else love throwing themselves in a pile of leaves? 🥴 I do, but I’m always afraid of the bugs in them soooo I go in + out 🤣🤣

I feel like we always tell our kids not to be afraid and “oh you’ll be ok” when they’re skeptical — it’s like part of adulting and parenting that no one warns you or teaches you — you just figure it the hell out 🤣🤣 Coco loves a challenge, but she questions EVERYTHING. I wonder who she came out like 🥴😂

I’m thankful she trusts me even when I second guess things myself. I’m thankful she asks me questions because she’s curious. She’s a deep deeeeeeep kid. I’m amazed at her maturity, sensibility, and practicality. What an incredible soul I am blessed to raise + know.

@beautycounter products have been on my list to try for EVER and I’m so happy these are the first two I got my hands on!

I have found the All Bright C Serum is the right quench my skin needs since I have combination skin (mainly dry though). The Overnight Resurfacing Peel isn’t actually a “peel.” It glides on like a smooth light gel, melts into my skin, and overnight will gently exfoliate while I sleep. I have no idea how such a product could exist, really! In the morning I rinse it off, and use my all bright serum again.

When Beauty Counter says they’re the perfect couple, they really mean it. There are minimal healthy ingredients that work magic on my skin. I couldn’t ask for a better duo!

• When I’m not on Insta or blogging I am working on my photography and social media businesses. I became a registered LLC the beginning of this year 🥳🥰 (my photography website is: laneychelland.com)
• I’m a professional makeup artist 🎨
• I graduated from a performing arts high school 🎭
• I have always wanted to be a doctor, though — Is it too late? 🥴🤣
• I’m obsessed with 🤩 Halloween + Christmas
• My mothers sister raised me after she passed away. We grew up poor, but always made the best of what we had
• I LOVEEE potatoes
• My Starbucks order is a grande Iced White Chocolate Mocha with one shot, vanilla sweet cream, and caramel drizzle (its like 500 calories 🥴 beaware it’s good AF, just not healthy @ all lol)
• Caymus Cab is hands down my favorite wine, although I’ve got some other really good ones I enjoy
• Favorite movie is Dirty Dancing // has always been since I could remember 😂 definitely shouldn’t haven’t watched it as a kid though lol
• I have OCD (the real kind don’t @ me lol)
• I have 3 babies in heaven #girlmom
• There’s a 100% chance I will order some kind of seafood when I go out to brunch/dinner
• I don’t eat beef nor pork and haven’t in well over 25 years.
• Chicken wings bug me out. I eat them sometimes, but most of the time I pass.
• I’m OBSESSED with purses + hats. Without a doubt the items I purchase the most.
• I lost my mom when I was 9 and I miss her so much every single day of my life.
